Petone — Spatial Plan

McIndoe Urban were commissioned to prepare a spatial plan for Petone intended to address concerns over urban growth, strategic infrastructure, eroding of local heritage and character and the implications of natural hazards. The plan has been developed over two stages, a baseline and issues stage followed by the development of strategic options and the final spatial plan. Throughout this process the local community and stakeholder representatives were engaged through workshop events designed to develop ideas ‘in the round’. Hutt City Council and Regional Council Officers were involved to ensure proposals could be supported and their District Plan implications understood.
